Ford’s latest electric marvel, the 2024 Mustang Mach-E, stands as a testament to innovative automotive engineering, pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle (EV) performance and technology. Spearheaded by Chief Engineer Donna Dickson, the team at Ford has integrated valuable customer feedback into the newest iteration of the Mustang Mach-E, resulting in an SUV that’s not just faster but smarter and more versatile.Ā
Enhanced Performance and Speed
The 2024 model introduces the Mustang Mach-E GT with a Performance Upgrade, making it the quickest Mustang Mach-E ever produced. Achieving 0-60 mph in a mere 3.3 seconds, this model surpasses its competitors, including the Tesla Model Y Performance and the Porsche Macan 4 Electric, in both speed and agility. The quarter-mile dash clocks in at 11.8 seconds at 114 mph, courtesy of an innovative powertrain and a new in-house developed eMotor that delivers an extra 100 lb. ft. of torque.Ā
Versatility and Upgrades
Ford is making the Performance Upgrade accessible to more drivers by offering it as a standard feature on the new Mustang Mach-E Rally and as an optional addition for the GT model. Customers have the flexibility to choose this upgrade at the time of purchase or add it later, showcasing Ford’s commitment to adaptable consumer solutions.Ā
Standardized High-Performance Features
For the 2024 Mustang Mach-E GT, Ford has standardized several high-performance features that were previously exclusive to the 2023 GT Performance Edition. These include Ford Performance front seats, the MagneRideĀ® Damping System, and Bremboā¢ branded front brake calipers.Ā
Improved Charging and Battery Life
The 2024 Mustang Mach-E also boasts a significant improvement in charging efficiency with its extended-range battery, which now charges nearly 20% faster using DC fast charging. This reduces the 10-80% charge time to approximately 36.2 minutes, enabling drivers to spend less time charging and more time enjoying the drive. The standard range battery also sees an enhanced charging speed, offering a 10-80% charge in just 32.3 minutes.Ā
Expanding Charging Network and Technology
Ford enhances the EV driving experience by expanding access to over 15,000 Tesla Superchargers through the BlueOvalā¢ Charge Network, North America’s largest public charging network. Additionally, new integrations with Google Maps via Android Autoā¢ and Apple Maps via Apple CarPayĀ® for EV routing, along with a new Public Charging app, simplify the process of locating and connecting to charging stations.Ā
Each model year brings further advancements, and the 2024 Mustang Mach-E is no exception. With every tweak and improvement, from the new eMotor to faster charging capabilities, Ford is setting new standards in the EV industry, ensuring that the Mustang Mach-E remains at the forefront of electric vehicle innovation.Ā
