For Mustang enthusiasts in the Yonkers area, the 2025 Ford Mustang is gearing up to make its mark after a major redesign in 2024. While big changes werenāt expected this year, Ford has rolled out a few key updatesāmany of which celebrate the Mustangās 60th anniversary. With its rich heritage, the Mustang remains a highly anticipated model for local fans and potential buyers. Now, we have a clearer idea of when production and deliveries will begin.Ā
According to insider sources, production for the 2025 Ford Mustang is set to kick off on November 4th, 2024, at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan. While this date could shift due to various factors, early November is the target. That means the 2025 Mustang could start arriving in the Yonkers area before the year wraps up, just in time to cruise around town or take scenic drives through Westchester County.Ā
One of the standout updates for 2025 is the introduction of the 60th Anniversary Package. This special edition includes heritage-inspired design elements to celebrate the Mustangās six decades of dominance on the road. Limited to just 1,965 units, some of these special models will feature the classic Brittany Blue paintāa nostalgic nod to Mustang history. Additionally, dual-zone automatic climate control is now standard across all models, a useful feature for handling Yonkersā unpredictable weather.Ā
However, the 2025 Mustang will lose a couple of features. Wireless charging, which was standard on the 2024 EcoBoost Premium, GT Premium, and Dark Horse models, is no longer available. Also, the EcoBoost High Performance Package has been discontinued for 2025, which may disappoint drivers who loved the extra boost for weekend drives through the Palisades or up the Hudson River.Ā
Ford is also shaking up the exterior color options. Four colors are being retiredāAtlas Blue Metallic, Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Yellow Splash Metallic Tri-Coat, and Dark Matter Gray Metallic. But to keep things fresh, two new hues are being added: Wimbledon White and Molten Magenta Metallic Tri-Coat, offering both classic and bold choices for Mustang drivers in the area.Ā
While the 2025 Ford Mustang doesnāt bring a major overhaul, its 60th-anniversary celebration and some feature and color updates are sure to keep it at the forefront of car enthusiasts’ minds. With production starting in November, Mustang fans in Yonkers wonāt have to wait too long to see this iconic muscle car cruising the streets of Westchester and beyond.Ā
